Since our incorporation in 1956, Bowen Town & Country Furniture has served Winston-Salem, NC, and surrounding communities in Forsyth, Davie, Yadkin, Surry, Wilkes, and Stokes Counties. Our customers have contributed greatly to our success by recommending us to their friends and neighbors…and we thank you.
Our 15,000-square-foot showroom is located at 1910 Mooney Street, off Stratford Road in Winston-Salem.

Meet Our Office Team
David Paff
David and his wife Rachel are proud parents of four terrific children and two awesome granddaughters.
David has been a member of the Bowen Town & Country team since graduating from Wake Forest University in 1986. He has been involved with several areas of our company: Warehouse and logistics, customer service, purchasing, sales, and now General Manager.
One of David's favorite aspects of working at Town & Country is the interaction and lasting relationships he builds with customers. He believes each customer is unique and welcomes the opportunity to get to know and help them with their shopping needs.
Steve Rice
A 35-year veteran member of the Bowen Family, Steve loves to combine his knowledge and experience to help customers with their furniture needs. Building relationships with customers has given Steve lifelong friendships. Steve and his wife, Ann, enjoy working outside and taking care of their mini farm. They also enjoy spending time with their daughter, Lauren, and her family. Being a self-proclaimed life explorer has given Steve amazing opportunities.
Charlene Owens
Charlene Owens, the Controller, has over 32 years of service with Bowen. Her professional, financial experience includes working for Pepsi as well as the Village of Clemmons. She is always ready to help customers and her colleagues. Her goal is to help the customer feel at home, and for the furniture shopping experience to go smoothly from start to finish. She is a proud mother of two fine young men, has a lovely daughter-in-law, and a precious granddaughter. Charlene loves to read, enjoys spending time with her family and is actively involved with her church.
Dhona Hackney
Dhona grew up in Burlington, graduated from UNC-G, and lived at Atlantic Beach for 14 years. Although she has North Carolina roots, her love of the ocean took her to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 20 years. After building relationships for over 30 years in the resort industry, Dhona has now been with the Bowen team over 4 years. She loves working with the exceptional furnishings Bowen offers and helping clients complete their dream homes. Being a member of Reynolda Church has allowed Dhona to build relationships in this community.
Melissa Spencer
Melissa comes to us with a background in customer service, education, retail, and commercial real estate. Melissa has a degree in Office Administration as well as Bible from Piedmont International University. A native of Winston-Salem, Melissa is known for being a community-oriented professional, her people skills shining through her various roles at work and in the community. She is a devoted mother to her four boys who keep her busy and in constant laughter. In her free time, you will find her at theatre and music performances, playing soccer or basketball, and working on home renovation projects.
Ellisa Dickson
Ellisa joined Bowen in February 2021. She has been a schoolteacher/tutor for the past 20 years. She graduated from Mars Hill College in 1997 with a degree in Secondary Education. As a member of the Bowen team, she keeps the pricing and orders up to date. She and her husband live in Tobaccoville with their 2 children. She enjoys spending time with her family.
BreeAnn Cook
BreeAnn has been part of the Bowen Team for eight years. She earned her Interior Design degree in 2006 and has since worked in various areas such as residential design, showroom design for the High Point Market, and home staging for the real estate market. She enjoys working with clients to determine their design needs and to help them create a space that not only functions for their lifestyle but reflects their personal style. BreeAnn is available to work with you in-store by appointment on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Meet Our Warehouse Team
Dickie Stafford
With 40 years' experience as part of the Bowen Team, Dickie Stafford manages the warehouse. Starting out as a delivery guy right after college, Dickie has been working with Town & Country ever since. Over the years, he has watched the furniture industry change and develop. With the privilege of receiving every item that is ordered, stock and special order, Dickie keeps the warehouse deliveries and services running smoothly.
Jesse & Casey Sylvia
Jesse and Casey Sylvia have been delivering furniture for Bowen Town & Country for 25 years. This brother duo works hard to listen to customers and respect their homes. They both strive to protect the customer's home and set up new furniture to the customers liking. As a result, they are an intricate part of the Town & Country team and key to developing lasting relationships with customers.
