Since our incorporation in 1956, Bowen Town & Country Furniture has proudly served Winston-Salem, NC and the surrounding areas in Forsyth, Davie, Yadkin, Surry, Wilkes and Stokes Counties. Bowen quickly became a valued part of the community and has grown in size significantly over the years.  But more importantly, Bowen's reputation as a respectful, trustworthy and dependable furniture store has led to its' success and unsurpassed longevity.

Our sales team is widely recognized in the community for their knowledge, professionalism and expert customer care. We work very hard to make sure the ownership experience is easy and enjoyable.

Our beautiful showroom is located on 1910 Mooney Street, right off Stratford Road in Winston-Salem. Our showroom spans 15,000 square feet. We also provide delivery and service from three warehouses totaling 20,000 square feet. Our delivery team is second to none and they are Bowen employees. We do not contract out for delivery.

Buying Furniture...
Let’s talk about furniture for a minute, since that is our expertise. There are daunting choices to make when furnishing a home in a tasteful manner. It’s tough—like buying a car a part at a time.

Do you do it yourself, or engage an Interior Designer?

Do you buy solid wood or veneer, or some mixed media; such as, wood, iron, and marble?

What style: Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary, Casual, Lifestyle, Modern, Eclectic, Mission, Lodge, Urban, or Wow?

What materials: cherry, oak, pecan, teak, maple, alder, ash, or birch, cherry, oak, mahogany, or pecan?  Then there are the issues of product categories: Home Office, Bedroom, Dining Room, Living Room, Youth, Baby Furniture, Entertainment Centers, Wall Units, Bookcases, Plasma Consoles, Leather or Fabric Sofas and Chairs, Sectionals, Indoor, Outdoor, Rugs, Lamps, Art, Benches, Headboards, Mattresses. Oops, we almost forgot: Lounge Chairs and Ottomans, Recliners, Power Chairs, Lift Chairs, Pillows, Lamps, Floor Lamps.  We do Custom Upholstery as well, with fringe, unusual cording, down pillows, special lengths, and can even use COM (Customers’ Own Material) etc. There are some incredible new wear smart fabrics in the market now; such as, micro fibers, and Sunbrella. The list just goes on and on.

As a merchant we select and buy furniture, day after day, after day.  All of our staff has between 10 and 30 years in the industry.  Our expertise is your advantage as a customer.  Not only do we discount and save you money as a North Carolina Discounter furniture dealer, but once we know the style, quality, function, and your other needs, our experience can identify the right choice for your lifestyle.

Here’s the deal:  Shop with us or where it’s convenient for you--it may be at Bowen or Ethan Allen, Ashley, Pottery Barn, Haverty’s, Furnitureland South, or some other great store.  Bowen promises to find it better, faster, or cheaper.  You can have any two of the three—you pick, and we’ll handle the rest.  We’re your purchasing agents.
